A lot of the work we do is on customer supplied baits. We can paint any color on any type of hard bait. You can send your own lures out of your tackle box or we can supply new baits for you. If you prefer to have us supply the lure, we can for most brands. We only charge the actual cost of the lure plus the cost of the paintjob.
If you want us to match a color from another brand or discontinued pattern painted on your lure it helps to have an original bait in that pattern sent with the baits you want painted. If that isn't an option a good clear picture of the pattern will work.

Payment
We accept cash, money orders, checks and credit cards through Paypal only. If paying by personal check we will send your order as soon as the check clears your bank. If paying by check or money order please make them out to Larry Chilton. We never ask for money until the work is completed unless we are also supplying the baits, then we do require payment in advance. Lures or reels not paid for with in 30 days of completing the order will be sold to the highest bidder unless other arrangements are made. Lure Preparation Please remove all hardware (hooks, line ties, and split rings) from bait before shipping. Its best to put each color in its own ziplock bag as well as a note with your color choice or special instructions for each bag. New lures or lures with minor damage produce the best results. Older lures with severe hook rash or deep scratches will not turn out flawless. You may still see sight imperfections through the new paintjob. Lures with splitting, bubbling or broken bills cannot be repaired. Reel Preparation We will only paint reels that we receive torn down. Only send the pieces you want painted. Place pieces of each reel in a separate bag along with your instuctions for each reel. It is highly advised to send your reel in a sturdy cardboard box. Bubble mailers do not offer enough protection for reels. If you are unable to tear down your reel contact The Tackle Smith.com. They can take it apart and get the parts to us for painting.
